AEA spotted Azimuth’s solar generation IPP utility business model and provided them with market entry support. Azimuth was the first solar operator to offer commercial and industrial customers the opportunity to have solar generated on their site at no cost to them and only pay for what they consume through a solar leasing concept. The original target was to deploy approximately 20MW solar leases overt a period of time. Since Azimuth’s entry a number of players using the same model have entered the market.
