Mark Ofori Kwafo is a seasoned ESG and sustainability leader with over 25 years of experience spanning finance, engineering, and impact investment. He is widely recognized for his ability to design and implement robust Environmental & Social (E&S) systems, strengthen institutional governance, and guide organizations toward global sustainability best practices.

Mark has advised financial institutions and investment firms across West Africa on ESG risk management, climate finance readiness, and impact measurement. At Growth Investment Partners (GIP), he led the development of the firm’s Environmental and Social Management System and coordinated E&S due diligence across a range of investment activities. Prior to this, at Ecobank Ghana, he was involved in monitoring projects exceeding USD 100 million. He also played a key role in efforts that contributed to Ghana’s Green Climate Fund accreditation, significantly expanding access to climate finance.

With expertise in stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and systems integration, Mark consistently delivers practical, high-impact solutions that align strategic sustainability goals with operational realities. His multidisciplinary background spanning engineering, project monitoring, and ESG leadership positions him as a trusted advisor in Africa’s evolving sustainable development landscape.
